Please help us welcome our new Kindergarten teacher, Michelle Oswald. We are thrilled to have Michelle and her family joining our district! Michelle's husband, Zac Oswald will be at Mid-Carolina Middle School teaching Science.
Michelle Oswald is originally from Spartanburg, SC and has recently moved to the area. She is new to the Pomaria-Garmany family and will be teaching kindergarten. This is her 18th year teaching. Michelle previous taught kindergarten, first, and second grade in Spartanburg County.
A graduate of Boiling Springs High School, Michelle obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Early Childhood and Elementary Education from Converse College and she obtained her Masters of Teaching: Elementary Education from Converse College. Michelle’s philosophy of education is based on the belief that educators will provide students with knowledge and skills that will become an integral part of their lives and help them reach their maximum potential as citizens in our society. She supports her students' natural curiosities and encourages them to be independent thinkers and learners.
Michelle lives in Chapin, SC with her husband, Zac, and they have two children, Emily and Jackson. After school, she enjoys spending time with my husband and children at the lake: swimming, fishing, and exploring nature.
